BOOKING & PAYMENT
1. How do I book a boat charter with Boat Charter Companies?
Booking is simple and fast. Browse our fleet, choose your boat, your destination, and your preferred date then contact us directly via WhatsApp or our online booking form. We confirm your reservation within 24 hours. For peak season (December–April), we recommend booking at least 2 weeks in advance to secure your preferred date.
2. What payment methods do you accept?
We accept bank transfers, major credit cards, and cash. A deposit of 20% is required to confirm your booking, with the remaining balance due 7 days before your charter date. For last-minute bookings, full payment is required upfront.
3. How far in advance should I book a boat charter in Saint-Martin?
We recommend booking 1 to 2 weeks in advance for standard dates, and 3 to 4 weeks ahead during the high season (mid-December to mid-April) and around holidays such as New Year’s Eve, Easter, and Carnival. Same-day bookings are occasionally available contact us on WhatsApp for availability.
4. Can I modify or cancel my booking?
Yes. Cancellations made more than 7 days before departure receive a full refund of the deposit. Cancellations within 7 days are non-refundable unless due to weather conditions deemed unsafe by our captain. We always do our best to reschedule rather than cancel
WHAT’S INCLUDED / NOT INCLUDED
5. What is included in a Boat Charter Companies trip?
Every BCC charter includes your experienced captain, fuel, snorkeling gear, a paddle board, a floating mat, soft drinks, water, and light snacks. Our goal is a seamless, stress-free experience from the moment you step aboard.
6. What is not included in the charter price?
The following are not included in the base price: lunch, Saint-Barth dock fees (10 € per person), Anguilla customs fees (30 $ per person), and optional add-ons such as a Seabob (200 €), cheese & charcuterie board (100 €), waterslide (150 €), or champagne service (100 €). All optional extras must be requested at the time of booking.
7. Can I bring my own food and drinks on board?
Absolutely. You are welcome to bring your own meals, snacks, and beverages. We provide a chilled cooler on board. If you’d like us to arrange catering from a simple charcuterie board to a full lunch we offer curated add-ons available upon request.
FOOD & DRINKS
8. Do you offer catering or special menus on board?
Yes. While lunch is not included in the standard package, we offer premium add-ons including a cheese & charcuterie board (100 €) and champagne service (100 €). For fully customized catering, contact us in advance and we will tailor the experience to your preferences from tropical fruit platters to gourmet Caribbean bites.
9. Are alcoholic beverages available on board?
Soft drinks, water, and light refreshments are included. Champagne and alcoholic beverages are available as an add-on (from 100 €) and must be arranged prior to departure. Please note that alcohol consumption is the responsibility of each guest, and our captain reserves the right to manage safety on board at all times.

10. Which destinations do you cover from Saint-Martin?
From Saint-Martin, Boat Charter Companies offers private day charters to Anguilla, Saint-Barth, and multiple stunning spots within Saint-Martin itself including Tintamarre Island, Pinel Island, Happy Bay, and Creole Rock. We also offer island-to-island transfers between Saint-Martin and Saint-Barth.
11. How long is the boat ride from Saint-Martin to Anguilla?
The crossing from Saint-Martin to Anguilla takes approximately 20 to 30 minutes by private speedboat, depending on sea conditions. Our Anguilla day charter includes time to explore the island’s legendary white sand beaches including Shoal Bay East, one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean.
12. How long does it take to reach Saint-Barth by boat from Saint-Martin?
The trip from Saint-Martin to Saint-Barth takes approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour by private charter boat. We navigate the Anguilla Channel and arrive directly at Gustavia Harbor. Please note that Saint-Barth dock fees (10 € per person) are not included in the charter price.

13. Do you offer private boat transfers between Saint-Martin and Saint-Barth?
Yes. We offer a private speedboat transfer service between Saint-Martin and Saint-Barth. This is a direct, comfortable, and fast alternative to the commercial ferry ideal for travelers staying at luxury villas or hotels in Saint-Barth who want a premium arrival experience.
14. Can you arrange a one-way transfer and a return on a different day?
Yes, one-way transfers are available. Simply let us know your schedule and we will organize both legs of your journey. Round-trip transfers can be booked together for convenience, and we can accommodate flexible return times based on availability.
WEATHER & CANCELLATION
15. What happens if the weather is bad on the day of my charter?
Your safety is our absolute priority. If sea conditions are deemed unsafe by our captain, we will reschedule your trip at no additional cost or issue a full refund. We monitor weather forecasts closely and will notify you as early as possible typically the evening before if conditions require a change of plans.
16. What is considered “bad weather” for a boat charter?
We operate in most typical Caribbean weather conditions, including light rain and moderate winds. Trips may be modified or cancelled in the case of strong winds (above 20 knots), heavy swells, or storm warnings. Our captain makes the final call based on safety always prioritizing the comfort and wellbeing of our guests.

17. Are your captains certified and experienced?
All BCC captains are professionally licensed, certified in first aid, and deeply familiar with the waters of Saint-Martin, Anguilla, and Saint-Barth. They bring years of local knowledge, a passion for the sea, and a commitment to making your day exceptional safe, smooth, and unforgettable.
18. Is safety equipment provided on board?
Yes. All our boats are equipped with life jackets for every passenger, a first aid kit, flares, VHF radio communication, and all legally required safety gear. Our vessels are regularly inspected and maintained to the highest standards.
CHILDREN & FAMILIES
19. Are boat charters suitable for children and families?
Absolutely. We love welcoming families on board. Our boats accommodate up to 10 passengers and offer a safe, comfortable environment for children of all ages. Life jackets in children’s sizes are available on board. We recommend our Saint-Martin half-day charter or a visit to Pinel Island for families with young children — calm waters, shallow snorkeling, and pristine beaches make it a perfect family adventure.
20. Is there a minimum age for passengers?
There is no strict minimum age we welcome infants and toddlers with their families. However, we recommend that parents use their judgment regarding very young children and rough sea conditions. Our team is happy to advise on the best trip option based on the age of your little ones and the forecasted conditions on your charter day.
